Basque American Community Mourns the Passing of Two of Its Members
Joshua Rose (18) and Jeanne (Lacunza) Sagasta (87) will always be remember by the
Basque American Community.
Early in June 2014, we received the heartbreaking news of the passing of Joshua Rose (18) of Winnemucca, NV. Josh was well-known in the Basque American community due to his and his sister's participation in various Udalekus. Notes of condolences and memories have been shared from all over, including from the Basque Country.
Ontario Basque Club also mourns the passing of one of its members. On June 5th, Jeanne (Lacunza) Sagasta (87) passed away peacefully at her home in Ontario, Oregon, surrounded by close friends. Jeanne was very proud of her Basque heritage and was a lifelong member of the Ontario Basque Club.
Our heartfelt condolences go to both families and friends.
