On August 15th Basques in Buffalo, Wyoming hosted a special event
to recognize the Basque immigrants that came and settled there.
Later that evening, Peter John Camino catered a dinner
at the Johnson County Fairgrounds at 5:30pm.
Following dinner, the immigrants that came to Johnson County
were recognized with each family receiving a plaque designed by local artist,
Paige Money that said,
"In honor of helping to establish the Basque community of Johnson County."
Besides the plaque, a pamphlet was also prepared that included
the stories of many of these individuals along with a photo display
